Stake’s running another weekly challenge where you compete against Eddie’s multiplier target. This time you need to hit 679.90× or higher on Dragonspire to share in the $50,000 prize pool.
How It Works
Bet at least $0.10 on Dragonspire, and if you hit 679.90× or higher, you qualify for a share of the prize. The $50,000 gets split between everyone who manages to hit that target during the week-long promotion.
The challenge runs from January 26 at 5:00 AM UTC through February 2 at the same time. You can track your progress on Stake’s daily leaderboard, and winners get contacted within 72 hours after the promotion ends.
Worth It???
Dragonspire is a Paperclip Gaming slot, and their games have some seriously weird math models. It can drain hundreds of dollars before you see anything close to that 679.90× multiplier, even when you’re betting the minimum 10 cents.
You need to consider the cost of actually reaching that multiplier. Spending $500 chasing a target that might net you $100-200 in prize money doesn’t make financial sense. The math only works if you hit it relatively quickly or if very few people qualify. However, the later is not usually the case as Stake has plenty of dedicated grinders who don’t mind burning through a few hundred dollars chasing these challenges.

The 679.90× target on a Paperclip Gaming slot is borderline unrealistic for most players without significant bankroll damage. The split prize pool means you have no idea what your actual reward will be, and the effort required to hit that specific multiplier on Dragonspire makes this a hard pass for anyone playing with a reasonable budget.

Hit 720x on my 50th spin at $0.10. Got lucky I guess. Probably splitting this with 200+ people so looking at maybe $250 max.
Why do they always pick the most volatile, dead slots for these challenges? Give us something on Sugar Rush or Wanted Dead or Wild where we at least have a chance without selling a kidney.
Already down $350 chasing this and haven’t seen anything close. These Paperclip slots are absolute shit. Why can’t they do these challenges on Pragmatic or Hacksaw games?
Paperclip Gaming slots have the weirdest variance I’ve ever seen. You either hit nothing for hours or randomly get slapped with a massive multiplier. Not worth the headache for a split prize pool.
